Terms of Use of Fonts

These terms have been developed to determine the use of fonts on Tilda user websites. The terms apply to any fonts, including fonts from the library, as well as those uploaded by users themselves.

The Terms of Use of Fonts (hereinafter referred to as the Terms) are an integral part of the Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the Terms of Service). All terms and definitions are used in the Terms in the same meaning as in the Terms of Service in force.
1. Terms of Use
1.1. General Provisions. The User shall have the opportunity to place font styles and/or files (hereinafter referred to as Fonts) in order to create Projects on the Platform. Fonts can be placed on the Project using a library provided by the Administration, or they can be custom, including those purchased from copyright holders independently.

1.2 Requirements for Fonts. Within the meaning of the Terms of Service, Fonts are a type of User Content. Fonts posted on Projects are subject to all requirements, prohibitions and restrictions established by the Terms of Service in relation to Content, with the exception of provisions that are not objectively applicable to Fonts.
2. Font Library
2.1. System Fonts. The Administration shall provide the User with the opportunity to use system Fonts on the Platform that are preinstalled in the operating systems of personal computers. The User shall have the right to use system Fonts in accordance with the conditions of the relevant licenses.

2.2. Open Font Libraries. As part of providing access to open Font libraries on the Platform, some Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts are available for use by the User.

The use of Fonts from the open Google Fonts library must be carried out by the User in accordance with the Google Fonts Conditions of Use and Distribution, and the use of Fonts from Adobe Fonts must be carried out in accordance with the Adobe Fonts Additional Terms.

2.3. Partner Fonts. The Administration shall provide the User with the opportunity to use some ParaType and type.today Fonts on the Platform on the basis of agreements concluded between the Administration and the copyright holders of such Fonts (hereinafter referred to as Partner Fonts).

Partner Fonts are provided to the User for use on the Project subject to the purchase of a paid Plan on the Platform. In this case, the User is freed from the need to purchase the right to use Partner Fonts directly from the copyright holders.

The User's use of type.today Partner Fonts must be carried out in accordance with the terms of the Type Today LLC End user license agreement, and the use of ParaType Partner Fonts must be carried out in accordance with the End User License Agreement.

Since 15 February 2024, ParaType Partner Fonts are available for use on the Platform exclusively on those Projects where they were previously connected. When reconnecting a Partner Font from the ParaType collection, the Partner Font is disabled and becomes unavailable.

2.3.1. Technical Restrictions on Exporting Partner Fonts.
When exporting a Project in accordance with the conditions of the Terms of Service, files of Partner Fonts are not exported, and Partner Fonts are displayed on the Project only if there is an active paid Plan on the Platform.

If it is necessary to display Partner Fonts on an exported Project in the absence of a purchased paid Plan, the User must purchase the right to use Partner Fonts directly from the copyright holders or replace them with any other Fonts.

2.4. No Warranties from the Administration. The Administration shall not warrant that the Fonts library will be available and can be used around the clock, at any particular point in time or for any period of time.

The User understands that copyright holders manage Fonts at their own discretion and may add and/or remove them at any time.
3. Warranties, Representations and Responsibilities of the User
3.1. Warranties and Representations of the User. By using Fonts on the Project, the User represents and warrants that it has received all rights, consents and permissions from copyright holders necessary to post and use the Fonts on the Platform.

3.2. Liability of the User. The User shall bear full responsibility for the publication, distribution, storage and transmission of Fonts and assume all risks, including those associated with possible violation of the law and/or the rights of third parties.

In case of violation of these Terms, the Administration shall have the right to apply administrative measures to the User in accordance with the Terms of Service in force.
